Three exciting international workshops by ADRIART.CE

The ADRIART.CE CEEPUS network calls for last-minute applications (deadline Oct 30, 2015) to three exciting one-week workshops -- students from Budapest, Graz, Rijeka and Nova Gorica can choose among three challenging workshop topics in book-design/contemporary-art, experimental film, or telematic-storytelling/new-media-performance, visiting a partner university in the summer semester for a week:

Four MAP students nominated for the ESSL ART AWARD!

Nominees for the ESSL ART AWARD are known and we are proud to announce that three MAP students are among them - three from University of Nova Gorica School of Arts and one from the Academy of Applied Arts at the University of Rijeka.

MAP programme in full bloom in Nova Gorica with a lively Progress Track and a new graduate!

What a beginning of a semester! In an intensive several hours long Progress Track the 2014/15 cohort of MAP students has taken on the Initial Progress Review, and a couple of second-year students submitted their Progress to the Final Review, before they advance to their final Master Thesis stage.

First graduate of the Master in Media Arts and Practices Programme

On the last (official) day of the ADRIART project, at the University of Nova Gorica School of Arts we got the first graduate of the (ADRIART developed) Media Arts and Practices Master programme - Urška Djukić! Her thesis: »TV-series: the future of film?« (theoretical) and »Audivisual work, pilot for the TV-series Kids« (practical part). Her mentors were film director Janez Burger for the practical part and film director and artist Jasna Hribernik for the theoretical part.

First Call for applications to the Media Arts and Practices programme at University of Nova Gorica. 

Screening at Video in Progress Festival in Ljubljana

Student production screened at Video in Progress Festival in Ljubljana. The festival selection includes short works by different generations dealing with the city and the history. The introduction comprises a number of short films produced at First Pass (Prva podaja), a 48-hour workshop that marks the beginning of the new academic year; every year the new intake of students, mixed into different inter-generational combinations, walks through the city and whilst getting acquainted also produce their first group works.

Coorporation challenges after the EU accession of Croatia, 5th of July, 2014, Faculty of Economics, University of Rijeka

Milijana Babic and Nadija Mustapic, both involved in the Adriart project at the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, are invited to participate in the panel discussion  Coorporation challenges after the EU accession of Croatia. The main topic of the discussion is the collaboration between Slovenian and Croatian organisations and presentation of current projects.

Presentation of MAP study programme in Slovenia

Enrolments for the MA in Media Arts and Practices at the University of Nova Gorica School of Arts are open. You can have a peek of what the programme is about at the presentations on May 28 at 4pm, either at School premises in Gorica (Palazzo Alvarez, Via Diaz 5, Gorica) or at Slovenska kinoteka in Ljubljana (Miklošičeva 28). 

MAP course at FEN Festival

In the context of MAP course Editing of Fictional Form, MAP students Nina Zimmerman and Nikolina Hrga together with other APU students, under the mentorship of Sanjin Stanić, participated at the Independent Theatre Festival FEN in Opatija, between 22-27.4.2014.

MAP students exhibiting in A+A Gallery, Venice

University of Nova Gorica MA Media Arts and Practices students Pila Rusjan and Valerie Wolf Gang joined forces with their colleaugues Tomaž Burlin and Noemi Veberič Levovnik in the exhibition "Flatmates" in Gallery A+A in Venice.
