Four MAP students nominated for the ESSL ART AWARD!

Nominees for the ESSL ART AWARD are known and we are proud to announce that three MAP students are among them - three from University of Nova Gorica School of Arts and one from the Academy of Applied Arts at the University of Rijeka.

In Slovenia from University of Nova Gorica School of Arts - MAP students Valerija Zabret aka Valerie Wolf Gang and Polona Zupan aka Pila Rusjan as also the recent graduate of the programme Urška Djukić. All three are graduates of the BA programme at the same school and have been nominated for the award in earlier editions. And in Croatia from the Academy of Applied Arts at the University of Rijeka MAP student Liberta Mišan is nominated.

Conferred every two years the ESSL ART AWARD is dedicated to the discovery and support of art students in Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey . The ESSL ART AWARD aims at supporting artists while being in education. About 500 art students from the eight participating countries were competing in the Online Jury Voting, where 10 artists per country were selected by the international expert-jury for the Nominees’ Exhibitions.  For detailed information on the Nominees please follow the link: NOMINEES FOR 2015. Each group of Nominees will be presented in a public group exhibition (Nominees’ Exhibition), taking place in each participating country in May / June 2015. On the opening day, the jury will choose on site in each country two award winners. The ESSL ART AWARD CEE includes a prize-money as well as a comprehensive group exhibition of all winners in the ESSL MUSEUM in winter 2015, which is accompanied by a comprehensive catalogue. Additionally one artist per country will receive the VIG Special Invitation, which comprises a joint exhibition at the Ringturm Vienna and a production-fee for a new work of art.
