This year we will develop our module in cooperation with the Institute of Electronic Music (http://iem.at/)  They have started in 2012 the project "SysSon"(http://sysson.kug.ac.at/), which aims to systematically sonify climate data. Further partners are the Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change (http://wegcenter.uni-graz.at/ ) and the Systematic Musicology (http://systematische-musikwissenschaft.uni-graz.at/ ) from the Karl-Franzens University in Graz.

Mental Mapping Komiza

Helene Thuemmel / Mon, 02/10/2014 - 19:41

When I was asked to write these passage it seems such a long time ago when I came back from Komiza in September 2013 and on the other hand , I realize that I still draw from the experiences I made there. The AdriArt Workshop in Komiza had a great impact on me.

Being there was about constantly learning new things, constantly exposing new worlds , getting to know different situations with different people and to break new ground without fear and doubt.

As I made my way to Vis in Croatia I knew little of what will happen to me . And in fact I never knew it during the workshop .

Out of home/space experiences

Pila Rusjan / Wed, 09/25/2013 - 01:12

I have just arrived from one of the many ADRIART mobilities which are a part of our Media Arts and Practice MA programme. Some of them are obligatory depending on one's carrier module, others optional, but each of them is different and gives you an intense experience of its kind. It is not only getting to know new technologies, reading theory, making a new project. It is mostly getting to know yourself through collaboration with other participants - and here, I mean students and mentors.
