Komiža mobility pre-pilot landed

Just landed safely, back from splendid isola-tion: last week's successful "pre-piloting" of our "Studio" module ambition on the beautiful island of Vis in Croatia went well. Next year Komiža is to become a "specific site" the the Media Arts and Practices MA programme annual mobility experience. And just like last year already, both the Rijeka and the Nova Gorica schools participated in the Komiža New Media Port (Video Vortex Summer School) international gathering in the town of Komiža, July 7-15, 2012. Lead by renowned artists Dan Oki (ADRIART Steering Committee member!) and our colleague Dalibor Martinis, the summer school joined 24 students and mentors from 6 art schools (Zagreb, Brighton, Reka, Gent, Split, Nova Gorica) in an 8-day multi-process of workshops, research-based productions, conceptual experimentation, and good fun. In close interaction within the culturally and disciplinary motley summer school community, and with the community of Komiža as a significant topos itself, several interesting products and processes came about.  Check out trippy videos, cicadas-infected concepts, wet performances and #loads of good vibes across media, including mindbloggled texts, a photo gallery and a few videos (and more to come!) at our UNG-e-platform based page of http://vsu.ung.si/komiza, take a look at the official summer school site of http://komiza.sintlucas.net, and stay tuned for the actual 2013 ADRIART pilot in Komiža!
